In 2015, the ACBA Women in the Law Division formed a Workplace Policy Committee to review issues impacting Paid Parental Leave for members of the Bar Association. The Workplace Policy Committee consisted of 14 volunteer members of the Bar Association who contributed significant time and effort to develop the WLD Workplace Policy Report and Model Paid Parental Leave Policy.

The Women in the Law Division then submitted the Workplace Policy Report and Model Paid Parental Leave Policy to the Board of Governors for consideration and approval and they were accepted at the June 2 meeting as a resource for the members of the Bar Association.
